WHAT IS PALO SANTO?

Palo Santo (Bursera Graveolens) is a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal. In Spanish, the name literally means "Holy Wood" (and you'll know why when you smell it's sweet scent!) It is part of the citrus family and has sweet scents of pine, mint and lemon... YUM!

SUSTAINABILITY

The best part about this mystical tree is that it can be wild crafted and sustainably harvested. The essential oil can only be extracted from dead trees and fallen branches using "Vapour Distillation" without the use of dangerous chemicals or solvents.

Although Palo Santo is not always reliably sourced and can be mixed with other woods at source, we can guarantee ours is sustainably sourced from individual farmers in Peru, where trees are cleared by farmers, rather than harvested in mass, put on barges and moved by river. Our suppliers are ethical and go to the source and the quality is the best. This is extremely important to us and our ethics and we spent many months sourcing the Peruvian suppliers.

This means that not only can we guarantee a high quality product for our Cosmic's, but it is also cared for with lots of love and respect (and that's what Cosmic Club is all about!)

As Cosmic Club Palo Santo is 100% sustainable and natural (sourced from individual farmers) you need not worry about harming Mamma Earth.

Simply sit back and enjoy the many benefits of this mystical and magical tree.

CAN I USE PALO SANTO WITH MY CRYSTALS?

Yes angel, you can! Palo Santo can be a fabulous friend to your crystals, helping to purify their energy when you first receive them, and periodically when their energy begins to feel heavy.

HOW CAN I DO THIS?

To use this mystical trees healing energy on your crystal babies, begin by lighting your Palo Santo stick, and wait for its flame to die out. Once this has happened, hold your Palo Santo stick in one hand, then use your other hand to raise your crystal and immerse it into the smoke of the Palo Santo.

Palo Santo is a bit more reluctant to hold a flame (unlike sage which continues to burn) so depending on how many crystals you are cleansing, you may have to relight the stick a few times. If you can't lift your crystal, you can use your hand or a feather to waft the medicinal smoke onto your crystal.
